• Gute Kommunikation, Kritikfähigkeit und Freude an der Zusammenarbeit
• Englische Sprach- und Kulturkenntnisse wie eine Muttersprachlerin 

Ich bin selbst Autorin in drei Verlagen, war Kolumnistin für kanadische Tageszeitungen und habe für kanadische und deutsche Reisemagazine geschrieben.
Als Deutsch-Kanadierin halte ich meine deutsche Muttersprache durch jährliche Besuche in der alten Heimat, die Zusammenarbeit mit deutschen Autoren und das Verschlingen von Büchern auf dem neuesten Stand.

Literary translations since 2013

-literary fiction, historical mystery, thriller, dystopian novel and memoir -

 

•  Professional, natural-sounding translations of novels and non-fiction from English into  German. I love bringing across word play and carrying the author's voice into German so readers of my translations can experience the book much like the original. 

• Research: Finding the correct scientific terms for a sci-fi thriller or double-checking the use of German expressions in the 1700s for historical fiction are a part of my job I particularly enjoy, having always been a nerd for language and weird facts.

• I edit and proofread every translation twice.

• On time. I pride myself on always meeting my deadlines. 

I am also the author of three traditionally published books, have written weekly columns for Canadian newspapers, and articles for Canadian and German travel magazines.
As a German-Canadian I keep my mothertongue up to date through annual visits, voracious reading and working with German authors.
